	Mountain Retreat Guest House is located in the spectacular West Kootenay region of British Columbia, 5km. from the city of Castlegar and 30km from Nelson or Trail. Our Bed and Breakfast is set on a 20 acre plateau overlooking the city of Castlegar and the confluence of three waterways, the Columbia River, the Kootenay River and Pass Creek. It's a nature getaway surrounded by forests, mountains, lakes and rivers. For relaxing in nature or for skiing, fishing, golfing, hiking, or boating, this is paradise! Air Canada has three connector flights daily into Castlegar from Calgary and Vancouver. From Vancouver, drive east on hwy 3 for 675km. (420mi.) From Calgary, drive west on hwy 3 for 638km. (397mi.) From Kelowna, drive south on hwy 33 to Rock Creek and east on hwy 3 for 290 km. (180mi.) From Spokane, drive north on hwy 395 to Kettle Falls, hwy 25 to Northport, crossing the border at Patterson, and hwy 22 to Castlegar for 241km. (150mi.)
